Desert Oyster

Interactive AR object, 2007
Augmented reality made with Palimpsest for iOS in collaboration with Meredith Drum
Created for ISEA 2012: Machine Wilderness in Albuquerque, NM

This iteration of Oyster City is an interactive augmented reality object that addresses how oysters get to the desert. The player can go “inside” the sphere by approaching, and then can touch five different objects to open up information about their human-enabled migration and consumption.

Palimpsest is original AR software for iOS created by Phoenix Toews.
